Antique German Meat Cleaver, Henry Böker, Hand Forged, c.1870s-1880s

A rare and genuinely antique meat cleaver bearing the plain Henry Böker stamp, predating the addition of "Solingen" and "Germany" to Böker blades, which became standard after 1891. This places the cleaver in the 1870s-1880s.

The cleaver itself is a classic heavy meat cleaver with a hand-forged carbon steel blade, its dark aged surface reflecting well over a century of kitchen use. The hardwood handle is triple-riveted with brass rivets, built for the heft a good cleaver demands.
