The Hatch Cutlery Co. Bridgeport Jack Knife

$165.00

This two-blade jack knife was made by The Hatch Cutlery Co. of Bridgeport, Connecticut, tang-stamped "THE HATCH CUTLERY CO. BRIDGEPORT CT." Hatch Cutlery operated only briefly, from about 1885 to 1899, before Wiebusch & Hilger purchased the factory and continued production under the Challenge Cutlery name, making original Hatch-marked knives a genuinely scarce find.

The knife carries a clip point master blade and a secondary blade in carbon steel, with brass liners. The handle scales are wood: one side black with an inlaid shield, the other a mismatched brown wood, likely a later replacement. See Condition Notes below for detail.
