Clauss Fremont Ohio Serrated Bread Knife, Wire Handle
Made by the Clauss Shear Company of Fremont, Ohio, a firm founded by brothers John and Henrie Clauss that grew into one of the largest scissors and shears manufacturers in the world. This all-metal bread knife, with its distinctive scalloped blade and open wire-loop handle, follows a design the company patented in 1892 for a tang-less, one-piece construction. The blade is stamped "CLAUSS" and "FREMONT, OHIO."
