Antique Cast Iron Cupola Building Still Bank — Unmarked, Late 1800s–Early 1900s

A cast iron cupola-form still bank, unmarked, in the classic American "building bank" style produced by numerous foundries — J. & E. Stevens, A.C. Williams, and Kenton among them — from the 1870s through the early 1900s. Raised "BANK" lettering spans the front facade above a pilastered doorway and steps, flanked by paned windows, with a diamond-cut cupola crowned by a finial cap.

The bank is cast in two solid pieces with no cracks or breaks. Traces of original gilt and bronze highlighting remain in the recessed detail over a dark japanned base, with heavy overall wear giving the piece a rich, deep patina consistent with genuine age and handling.

Unmarked and without documented maker attribution, but a well-proportioned, complete example of the form. Measures 2¾" wide, 2" deep, 4" tall.
