Coricama Italy Stacked Leather Handle Hunting Knife
This hunting knife is stamped Coricama, Italy, on the ricasso. Coricama (Coltellerie Riunite Caslino Maniago) is one of the historic cutlery houses of Maniago, Italy's "City of Knives," founded in the early 20th century and especially active in the export trade through the mid-century decades. This example carries the maker's stamp, along with a stag motif etched into the blade.
The knife has a stacked leather handle with brass guard and aluminum pommel, a style widely used on mid-century hunting knives made for the North American market. A leather sheath is included; it carries a separate, unidentified maker stamp that does not clearly match, so it may not be original to this knife. See Condition Notes below for detail.
