Antique Nickel-Plated Mechanical Cage Corkscrew, 5 In
This is a classic "cage" or open-frame mechanical corkscrew, a design popularized by German and French metalworking firms from the late 19th through early 20th century. Turning the T-handle drives the worm down through the open frame and into the cork; continued turning draws the cork smoothly up and out of the bottle without the user needing to pull on the tool itself. Unmarked, consistent with the many unbranded examples produced during this period.
The corkscrew is nickel-plated.
