A handmade fixed blade knife of real folk art quality — the handle carved from a single piece of hardwood in an acorn and oak leaf motif, with an ebonized pommel cap and brass ferrule. The carving is deliberate and accomplished: the acorn and flanking oak leaves wrap the handle in a continuous decorative band, a motif with deep roots in Germanic and British folk craft traditions symbolising strength and endurance.
