Union Cut Co. Boy Scouts Hatchet Knife, Bone Handle, c.1920s, USA
This two-blade hatchet knife was made by the Union Cut Co. of Olean, New York, tang-stamped "UNION CUT CO." on both blades, with an oval "BOY SCOUTS" shield inlaid in the handle. Union Cut Co. (later known for its KA-BAR brand) produced official Boy Scouts of America knives in the early 20th century, pairing a standard clip point blade with a small hatchet blade for camp use.
The knife carries a clip point blade and a hatchet blade in carbon steel, set in jigged bone handle scales with nickel silver bolsters and brass liners. See Condition Notes below for detail.
