Antique Sheffield Kitchen Knife — Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Cutlers to His Majesty GR, Shear Steel, c.1910–1936

$75.00

A fine antique Sheffield kitchen knife by Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Cutlers to His Majesty — bearing the GR cypher confirming a George V dating of 1910–1936. The full stamp features the star and Maltese cross trademarks.

The blade is shear steel, a pre-industrial forging process already considered old-fashioned by the Edwardian era. The result is a blade of exceptional character — hard, fine-grained, and capable of taking a superb edge.

The 6½-inch blade has a graceful clip point profile. The dark rosewood handle is secured with three mixed pins — two steel and one large brass.
