This two-blade jack knife was made by the New York Knife Co. of Walden, New York, stamped with the company's "Hammer Brand" trademark, used from the late 1870s until the company closed in 1931.

The knife has jigged handle scales with nickel bolsters and caps. Initials have been scratched into the springs by a previous owner, and both blades have a nice, tight snap. See Condition Notes below for detail.
