Taylor Superior Cutlery Hawkbill Pruner — Stag Handle

This hawkbill pruner knife is stamped "Taylor Superior Cutlery." Based on the knife's construction and materials, it dates to before 1900. The hawkbill pattern, with its distinctive curved blade, was a common design used for pruning and cutting rope or vine by both American and Sheffield cutlers through the 19th and 20th centuries.

The knife has a stag handle. Total length is 6 inches open, 3 2/3 inches closed.

The blade shows obvious wear and some pitting. The knife has a tight snap with no wobble.
