Northfield Knife Co. UN-X-LD Folding Hunter, Bone Handle, c.1900s, USA
This large single-blade folding knife was made by the Northfield Knife Company of Northfield, Connecticut, tang-stamped "NORTHFIELD UN-X-LD KNIFE CO." The UN-X-LD trademark was adopted in 1876 and used on the company's finer knives into the 1910s, before Northfield closed in the 1920s; genuine antique examples like this one are considered scarce among collectors today.
The knife carries a single clip point blade with a swedge in carbon steel, set in jigged bone handle scales with a nickel silver bolster. See Condition Notes below for detail.
